Important information before you use AutoBro
Last updated: 17 August 2026
AutoBro is a research assistant, not a mechanic
AutoBro is designed to help you research, plan and understand vehicle repair work. It is not a substitute for a licensed mechanic, an automotive engineer, or the manufacturer’s official workshop manual.
1. AI-generated content and accuracy
AutoBro uses artificial intelligence, live web search, public databases and third-party data sources to generate job cards, torque specifications, tool lists, diagnostic suggestions and part pricing. While we apply source-checking and evidence-tiering, the outputs may still contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or answers that do not match your exact vehicle or market.
Always verify critical information — especially torque values, fluid specifications, part numbers, electrical values, pressures, and safety-critical procedures — against the manufacturer’s official documentation or a qualified professional before performing any work.
2. Safety-critical systems
Extra caution applies to braking, steering, suspension, fuel, airbag/SRS, high-voltage, restraint and emissions systems. Incorrect repair or adjustment of these systems can cause serious injury, death or property damage. AutoBro’s outputs must be treated as preliminary guidance only, not as a safe or complete procedure for these systems.
3. Liability limitation
JH Software Solutions ABN 14 380 018 719, the operator of AutoBro, is not responsible for any damage, injury, loss, or repair costs that result from your reliance on information provided by AutoBro. You use AutoBro entirely at your own risk and accept full responsibility for any decisions, actions or repairs undertaken based on its outputs.
4. Part numbers, pricing and fitment
Part numbers and live pricing shown by AutoBro are sourced from third-party data and search providers. Prices, availability, part numbers and fitment can change without notice and may not be accurate for your exact vehicle, region or model year. Always confirm fitment and pricing directly with the supplier or manufacturer before purchasing.
5. Diagnostic guidance
Guided diagnostics are a starting point for investigation, not a definitive diagnosis. Every possible cause listed should be confirmed with appropriate testing, scan-tool data, and hands-on inspection by a qualified technician. Do not replace parts or perform repairs based solely on a diagnostic report.
6. Field-reported knowledge
Some AutoBro results include “field-reported” notes from trade sources and mechanics. These are shared experience, not verified manufacturer data. They can be valuable clues, but they should be confirmed before you act on them.
7. Regional differences
Vehicles, specifications, regulations, and part availability differ by country, market, and model year. A result for a vehicle in another market may not match your local build. Always check your specific VIN and local documentation.
8. Not legal advice
Nothing on AutoBro constitutes legal, professional, or regulatory advice. If you need advice about your rights, obligations, or compliance with local laws, consult a qualified professional.
9. Report issues
If you believe AutoBro has returned incorrect, unsafe, or misleading information, please report it to jh@jhsoftware.au. We take feedback seriously and use it to improve guardrails and accuracy.
